Writing is effective if it fulfills the reader’s needs. The two most common issues in effective business or technical writing are lack of coherence and technique in producing standard outputs such as letters and reports.
Technical writing refers to the kind and style of writing required by the professions or business. The Technical Writing Basics Workshop helps participants improve weaknesses in grammar, sentence construction, word usage, language precision, and style, as well as guides them in making their writing reader-centered, organized, and logical.
As with any skill, writing requires practice. After the workshop, the participants will be emailed writing and grammar tips to encourage them to continue learning.
The workshop aims to be fun and creative to promote knowledge retention and learning. Interaction and inquiry are encouraged to sustain a spirit of collaboration.
