Overview

 

This two-day workshop is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively deliver training, evaluate its impact, and measure the return on investment (ROI). Through interactive sessions, practical exercises, and real-world case studies, participants will learn best practices in training delivery, assessment methods, and techniques to demonstrate the value of training programs to stakeholders.

  • Understanding adult learning theories.

3. Training Delivery Methods.

  • Overview of various training delivery methods: in-person, online, blended.
  • Pros and cons of each method.

4. Engaging Training Techniques

  • Techniques to engage learners: interactive activities, discussions, simulations.
  • Practical exercise: Designing an interactive training activity.

5. Developing Training Materials

  • Best practices for creating training materials.
  • Tools and resources for effective material development.

6. Facilitation Skills

  • Key facilitation skills: communication, active listening, questioning.
  • Role-playing exercise: Practicing facilitation skills.

7. Overcoming Challenges in Training Delivery

Day 2: Training Evaluation and ROI

2. Introduction to Training Evaluation

  • Importance of evaluating training programs.
  • Overview of evaluation models: Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels, Phillips ROI Model.

3. Designing Training Evaluations

  • Steps to design an effective training evaluation.
  • Practical exercise: Creating an evaluation plan.

4. Data Collection and Analysis

  • Methods for collecting evaluation data: surveys, assessments, feedback.
  • Analyzing data to assess training impact.

5. Calculating Training ROI

  • Understanding ROI in the context of training.
  • Methods for calculating ROI.
  • Case study: Calculating ROI for a training program.

6. Communicating Training Impact

  • Strategies for presenting evaluation results and ROI to stakeholders.
  • Creating impactful reports and presentations.
