Job Summary
Responsible for the following Training Activities for the Philsteel Group of Companies: (1) In coordination with the Functional Heads, conducts Training Needs Analysis, develops the Annual Training Program and Budget per Functional Area, per Company and ensures that these are implemented, (2) Designs Sales Training Programs to strengthen the Sales Group and conducts these, (3) Develops Skills Training and Leadership Training Programs for Managers & Supervisors in order to enhance their competencies, (4) Monitors the effectiveness of the training programs through post evaluation assessments, (5) If training will be conducted by external trainers, coordinates such training and ensures that these are effectively conducted, and (6) Recommends Learning & Development growth strategies and initiatives for high potentials as part of Succession Planning.
Duties and Responsibilities
- In coordination with the Functional Heads, determines the learning and development needs of Philsteel Group of Companies through the conduct of Training Needs Analysis.
- Assists all Functional Heads in the Development of their Annual Training Program and Budget, for approval by EXCOM.
- Maintains, reviews and updates the Annual Training Calendar and monitors the implementation of Training Programs based on the scheduled timeline.
- Develops training modules for identified soft skill and sales training programs in coordination with the Functional Heads and conducts these or sources these to outside Resource Speakers/ Training Companies.
- Conducts Training the Trainer for Functional Heads to train them on How to Design Training Manuals and How to Conduct Training for their people.
- Conducts Values Enhancement and Teambuilding Workshops to instill positive work attitudes amon the employees.
- Conducts pre- and post-evaluation training assessment for employees who have availed for trainings based on the desired/ expected objective.
- Supervises timely and accurate scheduling, notification and communication of training programs.
- Identifies, coordinates and establishes partnership with training vendors based on the training requirements of the company.
- Reviews Training Policies & Procedures, recommends improvements and ensures compliance to these by all employees.
- Responsible for the creation of new Training Policies and Procedures and cascading to all concerned employees.
- Updates self with the current trends in the learning and training industry.
- Sets KRA’s / KPI’s and updates the Job Description for herself and her people.
- Ensures that performance of personnel who are assigned under her direct responsibility are reviewed and addressed, by way of providing coaching and learning sessions.
- Ensures that the company’s vision and mission statement are well-translated into employees’ value systems and key result areas.
- Ensures that learning and development needs of his direct reports are addressed, based on their specific competency requirements indicated in their respective training plan.
- Keep self-updated on government required trainings for licensed professionals and ensures compliance to these.
Qualification
- Graduate of BS Psychology, Behavioral Science, Human Resources, Communication, Business and other related courses.
- Preferably with a Master’s Degree in any of these fields
- At least fifteen (15) years work experience in Training Management gained from manufacturing companies
- Must have good experience in developing and conducting Sales Training Programs.
