Job Summary:
The Paralegal provides support and assistance to the corporate legal department in its daily activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare Board Resolution and/or Secretary’s Certificates and other legal documents as per instruction of the legal counsel.
- Draft, revise, organize, and review other documents such as complaints, affidavits, agreements, corporate, documents, and applications to Government agencies.
- Responsible for filling, monitoring, and updating of legal documents to different government agencies.
- Carry-out legal research aimed at finding out precedent cases relevant to current corporate cases, relevant statutes, court decisions, legal articles, etc.
- Monitors, files, and follow-up the status of cases with the Municipal Trial Courts, Regional Trial Courts, Court of Appeals, Supreme Courts, and other legal institutions.
- Coordinates with the Sheriff to facilitate the attachment, execution, or enforcement of court decisions.
- Coordinates with external legal counsel for monitoring updates of cases and meeting schedules.
- Provides assistance in legal meetings and other functions that require the services/ attention of the legal department.
Qualifications
- Must have 10 to 20 years of work experience as a Paralegal and from a Law Firm.
- Knowledgeable about legal procedures and can assist the legal counsel in the preparation of legal documents.
- Law graduate (J.D. or LL.B.)
- With above average communication skills can work independently with minimal supervision, highly organized and systematic.
- Computer literate and experienced in recording and filing cases.
