Job Description

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) within the Australian Embassy in Manila, Philippines, is a lead agency managing Australia’s international presence. DFAT is seeking a highly motivated and experienced person to fill the Multimedia Officer position in the Political-Economic Section.

The Multimedia Officer (LE4) will play an important role in the Embassy’s external communication, working closely with senior executives including the Ambassador. The successful candidate should have experience working as a multimedia professional; strong experience producing digital content, and expert knowledge of digital photography, videography, and video editing including ability to produce video concepts, storyboards, and executions for digital campaigns, proven technical skills in using digital graphic design software to create top-quality, engaging digital content, excellent knowledge of digital communications and awareness of digital trends, experience in social media management, content planning, and audience analytics, excellent communication and people skills and an ability to produce high-quality content in English, and a team player with strong customer focus and ability to work with internal and external partners.

Terms of Employment

The Multimedia Officer (LE4) is a locally engaged staff position based at the Australian Embassy Manila. It is not an Australian Public Service position. The successful candidate will be engaged in a full-time assignment for a permanent employment contract. The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be entitled to leave, comprehensive health and group life insurance and other conditions as per the locally engaged staff conditions of service.
