Job Description

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) within the Australian Embassy in Manila, Philippines, is a lead agency managing Australia’s international presence. DFAT is seeking a highly motivated and experienced person to fill the Human Resources Officer position in the Consular and Administration Section.

The Human Resources Officer (LE3) under the general direction of the Human Resources Manager, is responsible for providing administrative and logistical support in the day-to-day delivery of HR services and program delivery support to clients. The successful candidate should have experience working in human resources management, administration and/or the travel industry, experience providing administrative support in a busy office environment with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, high-level client service skills, including the ability to engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders and maintain confidentiality of individuals, ability to work independently and contribute effectively as a member of a team, particularly when working under pressure, including proven initiative, cooperation, flexibility and reliability, and high level proficiency in using information management systems, electronic databases and Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Terms of Employment

The Human Resources Officer (LE3) is a locally engaged staff position based at the Australian Embassy Manila. It is not an Australian Public Service position. The successful candidate will be engaged in a fulltime assignment for a permanent employment contract. The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be entitled to leave, comprehensive health and group life insurance and other conditions as per the locally engaged staff conditions of service.
