OFFICIAL STATEMENT
The People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) extends its deepest concern to all those affected by the 6.9-magnitude earthquake that struck Cebu on September 30, 2025. Our thoughts are with the families, communities, and organizations impacted, and we stand in solidarity with them as they recover and rebuild.
The earthquake’s epicenter was recorded in Bogo City, Northern Cebu. We wish to reassure our participants, members, and partners that our official venue, NUSTAR Resort & Casino, located in Kawit Island, South Road Properties, Cebu City, was declared safe and fully operational as of October 1, 2025. Comprehensive safety inspections were promptly conducted, confirming that NuStar and Fili Hotels are
structurally safe and sound. Following this, the hotel, dining, and other facilities resumed normal operations. Meanwhile, The Mall at NUSTAR Cebu reopened on October 2, 2025, following its own thorough safety review.
The safety, comfort, and well-being of our participants remain PMAP’s top priority. We will continue to coordinate closely with our venue partners to monitor the situation and ensure that all necessary measures are in place.
We also wish to reassure everyone that the 62nd PMAP Annual Conference will proceed as scheduled on October 22–24, 2025, at NUSTAR Resort & Casino, Cebu City. The venue has been thoroughly assessed and cleared, and it is fully prepared to welcome all participants.
We sincerely thank our members, partners, and participants for their trust and support. With your continued participation, we look forward to a meaningful and successful 62nd PMAP Annual Conference, as we come together in Cebu to UNLEASH ideas, possibilities, and innovations that will shape the future of people management and nation-building.
