Leadership is challenging during turbulent and uncertain times. Organizations rise or fall based on the quality of their leadership
Leaders at all levels of the organization need to be engaging in order to get the best from their people. Here is a program with tried and tested practices that engage people to perform at their very best.
– Employee engagement and employee experience – what’s the difference?
– Overview of good practices in engaging people
Practice #1 – Know your people – Kamustahan is a concept that has emerged from the pandemic. Learn creative ways of connecting with people.
Practice #2 – Inspire your people – Leaders should be able to distinguish when they are motivating and when they are inspiring. Purpose is a great source of inspiration. Leaders should learn how to inspire others through a clear personal and organizational purpose
Practice # 3 – Grow your people – One of the top reasons why people leave organizations is that nobody is helping them grow professionally and personally. Leaders just hold regular performance conversations and rarely develop conversations. This session aims to equip leaders to deliver effective development conversations that help people achieve their professional and personal goals. After all, performance is improved when people grow.
Practice #4 – Empower your people. Empowerment is about trust. It is about being trusting and trust worthy. By empowering people, leaders are able to significantly improve their capacity to perform.
Practice #5 – Recognize you people. Leaders must be able to differentiate when they ate recognizing and when they are appreciating. A sense of progress is a powerful source of motivation and inspiration that is seldom used by leaders.
Practice #6 – Team people up. Know how to harness collective intelligence through effective teams. Leaders need to organize teams with diverse members to address complex problems. Synergy is achieved when teams work together well.
